Job summary

Payne & Tompkins Design-Renovations in Ohio is seeking an Interior Designer focused on kitchen, bath, porch additions and finished basements. You will create designs that meet client needs and aesthetics while balancing budget and constructability, and you will own all project drawings.

Responsibilities include leading client design meetings, selecting finishes, obtaining quotes, drafting interior drawings from 3D and floor plans, updating drawings, site visits, coordinating photoshoots, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline.
• 1-2 years experience in Kitchen & Bath design and/or construction.
• Ability to learn Chief Architect.
• Demonstrates command & poise of design and generates client confidence in their decision making.
• Plan in place for certifications in NCIDQ and CKBD.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and conduct client design meetings; document selections.
• Make selections to meet client requirement while maintaining budget.
• Obtain quotes for glass, tile, countertops, cabinets, hardware, plumbing, lighting.
• Create interior drawings from 3D drawings and floor plans.
• Drawings include Demo Plan, New Floor Plan, Electrical Plan, Finish Plan and elevations.
• Field measure or draw as-built drawings.
• Update interior drawings to keep them complete and accurate.
• Attend job site visits to monitor progress and client experience.
• Coordinate photoshoots and marketing coordination.
• Accurate hour logging for job-related time.
