Job summary

American Society of Interior Designers is seeking an Interior Designer focused on kitchen and bath projects, with responsibilities spanning client meetings, design development, and detailed interior drawings. The role emphasizes budget awareness, constructability, and client satisfaction.

You will create comprehensive interior drawings, coordinate site visits, and collaborate with the renovation team to guide projects from concept through completion, including photoshoot coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline.
• 1–2 years experience in Kitchen & Bath design and/or construction.
• Ability to learn Chief Architect.
• Demonstrates command & poise of design and generates client confidence in their decision making.
• Plan in place for NCIDQ and CKBD certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and conduct client design meetings guiding decisions and document selections.
• Make furniture, plumbing, lighting and material selections to meet requirements and budget.
• Obtain quotes for glass/mirrors, tile, countertops, cabinets, hardware, plumbing and lighting.
• Create interior drawings from 3D drawings and floor plans to industry standards.
• Produce drawings: Demo Plan, New Floor Plan, Electrical Plan, Finish Plan, and elevations.
• Field measure or draw as-built drawings.
• Update interior drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Attend job site visits to monitor progress and client experience.
• Coordinate photoshoots and marketing assets.
