Job summary

WhidbeyHealth Medical Center seeks an Accounting Specialist AP to support the organization’s financial operations, handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks, using systems to prepare disbursements and generate EFTs or checks.

You will balance GL accounts, audit information, prepare journal entries, and assist with cash receipts, bank deposits, and reporting. The role serves as a point of contact for accounting procedures and may take on additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business, accounting or finance preferred.
• Three years of experience in accounting and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and related journal entries.
• Reconcile vendor statements and maintain GL accuracy.
• Manage accounts receivable including daily cash receipts.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and cost reports.
• Provide training and support on accounting processes.
