Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon seeks a Full-Service Technician to recondition, reassemble, and test pole mount transformers. You will ensure compliance with safety rules, quality standards, and company policies while following work orders and maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

Responsibilities include gathering parts, performing reconditioning, running basic tests, and using shop equipment and cranes as needed. A high school diploma and safety-focused mindset are required.

• Read and follow work order instructions to rebuild transformers to customer specs.
• Gather parts and tools needed for work orders and ensure they are in good condition.
• Recondition and reassemble pole mount transformers and inspect components.
• Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before shipment.
• Use shop equipment safely and return it to its proper place.
• May need to use overhead crane and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Description

The Full-Service Technician is responsible for reconditioning, reassembly, and testing of pole mount transformers. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.

• Read and follow work order instructions to ensure your rebuilding transformers to customer specifications.
• Gather parts and tools that are needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition prior to usage.
• Reconditioning and reassembly pole mount transformers will include but is not limited to cleaning and inspecting components, replacing gaskets, changing the oil and basic repairs.
• Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before they leave the workstation.
• Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately. Return equipment to proper location once usage is complete.
• Usage of overhead crane and other material handling equipment may be needed to perform job tasks.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
• Other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.

• Proven track record in safety excellence is required.
• Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.

• Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times
  • Standing and walking for long durations
  • Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations
  • The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times
  • Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled
