Founded in 1980, Catering by Michaels is a full-service catering and events company based in Morton Grove, Illinois. We produce events across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale galas, corporate events, weddings, festivals, and celebrations.

The Event Coordinator serves as the primary guide for clients throughout the sales and planning process. This role is responsible for building relationships, understanding client goals, developing proposals, and coordinating the details necessary to bring events to life.
Success in this role requires a combination of sales ability, organization, hospitality expertise, and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences for all clients.
This role is based in our Morton Grove office and supports events throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. The position combines office-based sales and planning responsibilities with client meetings, networking opportunities, venue visits, and event attendance.
Travel is primarily local during business hours, although occasional evening, weekend, and overnight travel may be required.
All of our Event Coordinators are present and onsite for their clients events.
