Job summary

County OB/GYN is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to join our collaborative team. The CNM will deliver full-scope midwifery care across outpatient and hospital settings, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic services.

Collaborate closely with five OB/GYN physicians and five CNMs, with on-call duties and a mix of office days. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and evidence-based practice at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience in a full-scope midwifery practice.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-service skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer-based clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive prenatal care from initial visit through delivery and postpartum care.
• Coordinate management with physicians for potential pregnancy complications.
• Provide labor and birth support in collaboration with OB/GYN physicians.
• Perform annual well-woman exams and gynecologic evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians and CNMs to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
