Job summary

The Tobin School is looking for a Jr Kindergarten Teacher for the JrK Full Day program in Natick, MA, starting late August 2026. You will work with a co-teacher and support staff to supervise up to 16 children, plan age-appropriate curriculum, communicate with families, and ensure adherence to safety and licensing standards.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with shifts across 8:00–4:00 or 9:45–5:45, and includes summer work for those progressing to Kindergarten.

Qualifications

• EEC Preschool Teacher certification is required.
• Some early childhood teaching experience.
• A degree in early childhood or related field is valued.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support parent communication and child supervision.
• Plan curriculum and assess children.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, licensing compliance (EEC) and NAEYC Accreditation Criteria.
• Collaborate with one other full-time teacher, someday time support teachers, and an afternoon assistant.
• Work 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts; flexible scheduling (8:00–4:00 or 9:45–5:45).
• Operate in a full-year program including Summer at Tobin Jr.
