Job summary

Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company is seeking a recruiter to support our commercial construction projects and sister company Cooper Equipment Rentals. You will source, attract, and hire for office and field roles, manage the full recruitment lifecycle, and partner with hiring managers to strengthen our brand in the marketplace.

You will coordinate interviews, extend offers, and oversee onboarding, with a focus on safety mindset and culture fit.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
3–5+ years of recruiting experience, construction/field-based environment preferred.
Experience recruiting for professional and field/craft roles.
Familiarity with EEO, ADA, and fair hiring guidelines.
Proficiency with sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, niche boards).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruiting for project managers, superintendents, estimators, safety professionals, accounting/admin, and field positions.
Partner with hiring managers to define requirements and create/update job descriptions.
Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, networking, referrals, and trade schools.
Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and assess candidates for skills, experience, safety mindset, and culture fit.
Coordinate interviews and provide timely feedback to candidates.
Prepare and extend offers; support negotiation and acceptance.
Oversee onboarding, background checks, and pre-employment requirements.
