Job summary

Proponent, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Brea, CA to manage full cycle AP for inventory and non-inventory invoices in a fast-paced, global setting.

You will ensure accurate payments, match POs, and resolve discrepancies while supporting monthly closing and vendor queries. Ideal candidates bring a High School Diploma with 2–5 years in AP, strong finance principles understanding, and proficiency in keyboarding and 10-key.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2-5 Years of Related Work Experience in AP or General Accounting.
• Accepted Principles and Practices of Finance and Accounting, especially Accounts Payable.
• Advanced Keyboarding & 10 Key Proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Process full cycle AP activities, including inventory and non-inventory invoices.
• Match invoices to POs and receivers; resolve discrepancies; ensure timely payments with maximum discounts.
• Review and reconcile account statements; process weekly payment run.
• Verify freight invoices and related chargebacks; rebilling and charges vs. sales orders/POs.
• Record direct debit and non-system wire payments; assist PO corrections and issue resolution.
