Job summary

Top Echelon LLC is seeking a Pre-Construction Full Charge Estimator - Assistant Manager to lead all CSI-based preconstruction activities for commercial projects. The role includes managing staff, developing proposals, and guiding client relations.

Travel to project sites is required. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in commercial estimating, a 4-year degree in a related field, and strong knowledge of CSI formats, cost data management, and procurement processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture or Building Construction preferred.
5–8 years of experience in a commercial estimating role for a GC.
Strong knowledge of CSI format and building trades.
Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.
Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead preconstruction management for CSI divisions and renovation projects.
Develop and supervise preconstruction staff, including hiring and training.
Lead proposals and presentations to clients, including hard bid and negotiated bids.
Coordinate subcontractor/vendor prequalification and procurement.
Establish cost databases and maintain estimating records.
Manage hand-off to Construction Department and cost data maintenance.
