Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search has been retained by an Agriculture client to identify a Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records.

This role will work closely with senior accounting staff and ownership, gradually assuming increased responsibility, including payroll processing, reconciliations, and preparing information for external accountants.

Qualifications

• Degree not required; related field experience is a plus.
• Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable required; industry experience is flexible.
• Payroll processing and reporting experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 and/or QuickBooks.
• Solid Excel skills, including pivot tables.
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small team.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions using Sage 50 and QuickBooks.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Process payroll, from timecards through quarterly and annual reporting, and related reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts regularly.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for management review.
• Compile and organize information for external CPA firm for tax preparation and reviews.
• Research discrepancies and investigate variances to ensure accurate and complete records.
• Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as needed in a small-business environment.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role will work closely with senior accounting staff and ownership, gradually assuming increased responsibility. The Full Charge Bookkeeper plays a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy, processing payroll and reporting, and preparing information for external accountants.

What You’ll Do

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions using Sage 50 and QuickBooks
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking
