Job summary

Hot Topic is seeking a Team Lead to guide associates in our Tennessee distribution center, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely operations across receiving, picking, packing, sorting, recording, auditing, and shipping.

You will report to the Supervisor, DC, supervise daily tasks, monitor quality, safety, and production standards, and adjust staffing as needed. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead associates to meet daily goals in receiving, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping.
• Conduct observations, training, and feedback to staff.
• Perform audits and ensure accuracy in the department.
• Coordinate with Supervisors to maintain workflow and staffing.
• Ensure paperwork is completed correctly and procedures followed.
• Support safety and quality performance standards.
• Assist in evaluating performance of assigned associates.

Job description

Our Team Leads assist with leading associates to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely distribution center operations, including receiving, picking, packing, sorting, recording, auditing, and shipping of goods. This position reports to the Supervisor, DC.

Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting, but other factors such as shift will determine the final salary for potential new hires.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Ensures all associates are equipped to work productively and follow recommended best practices
• Conducts job observations as requested and provides training and feedback to associates if needed
• Conducts audits to ensure accuracy within the department
• Ensures sufficient workflow in the area by communicating with Supervisors and fellow Team Leads from supporting departments.
• Assigns tasks for daily goals and suggests staffing adjustments to the Supervisor
• Ensures paperwork is completed correctly and all procedures are followed
• Assists in evaluating the performance of assigned associates.
• Communicate with Supervisors on concerns and any needs in your assigned area
• Supports all safety and quality performance standards
• Performs distribution job tasks when not actively responsible for the group and demonstrates work level that meets or exceeds established production standards.
• Performs other job duties as needed

• This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Responsibilities include standing and walking for extended periods, frequently lifting and carrying boxes up to 50 lbs., and bending, reaching, twisting, and performing repetitive motions while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
