Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials within the plant or yard using forklifts, hand trucks, or electric dollies.
• Maintain and verify records of outbound shipments and keep all department stations stocked.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and ensure safety standards are met.
• Assist with routine housekeeping as part of the 6S plan.
• Read work orders to determine material needs and move items onto pallets or shelves.

What Youll Do

• Load, unload, and move materials within the plant or yard using forklifts, hand trucks, or electric dollies.
• Maintain and verify records of outbound shipments and keep all department stations fully stocked.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and ensure 100% compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Assist with routine housekeeping tasks as part of the plant's 6S plan.
• Read work orders to determine material needs and manually move items onto pallets, racks, or shelves when necessary.

What Youll Bring

• 2 years of forklift experience (ideally in a metal fabrication shop).
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience moving large metal objects and working within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Strong basic math skills, problem-solving abilities, and a high level of self-motivation.
• Must be dependable, a good communicator (with team and supervisors), and adaptable to changing daily duties
