Job summary

Telcom Construction is seeking a Fulfillment Material Handler to support on-site yard and materials operations. You will assist the Inventory Specialist with staging, receiving shipments, and maintaining inventory accuracy for multiple jobs.

This role requires 18+ years, legal work authorization, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and willingness to pass background/dot tests. Hours are 6:30am–3pm, with longer hours if necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; present information in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Knowledge of Internet software, database, spreadsheet and word processing software.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• All offers contingent on passing background check, drug test and DOT physical.
• Physical ability to wear required PPE and perform lifting up to 50–75 lbs; work in a loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Inventory Specialist with staging materials for specific jobs.
• Maintain location’s inventory and reconcile physical inventory; offload/load trucks.
• Track, receive and verify new material shipments and coordinate handling and storage as it arrives.
• Maintain organization of inventory; keep shop and yard area clean and orderly.
• Assist with inventory counts and safe working practices.

At Telcom Construction a Fulfillment Material Handler is responsible for assisting the Inventory Specialist with on-site yard and materials support.

What you’ll do

• All phases of underground construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment
• Assists the Inventory Specialist with staging materials for specific jobs
• Assists the Inventory Specialist with maintaining location’s inventory, reconciling physical inventory and offloading/loading trucks
• Tracks, receives and verifies new material shipments and coordinates handling and storage as it arrives
• Maintains organization of inventory
• Maintains a clean and orderly shop and yard area
• Assists with inventory counts
• Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies
• Hours 6:30am-3pm- longer if necessary
• All other duties as assigned
