Job summary

Amazon in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Site Procurement Manager to bridge centralized Procurement and building leadership. You will own the site's indirect procurement operations, manage 3P suppliers, POs, and inventory, and report supplier KPI metrics to drive site-wide improvements.

You'll collaborate with Finance, AP, and internal teams to measure savings, manage budgets, and standardize best practices across the network.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience.
• 3+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Experience with supplier or vendor relationship management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement operations support for fulfillment centers, including managing suppliers, non-inventory labor, flow and space models, cycle counts, inventory management, and procurement transactions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational KPIs, working with the non-inventory team to measure, control, and benchmark procurement processes.
• Develop expertise in non-inventory items and collaborate with similar buildings to implement best practices.
• Build relationships across the network, ensuring sharing and implementation of best practices and training teams on procurement processes.
• Work with internal teams, Finance, and Procurement Operations to understand budgets and measure savings, value, and category metrics.
• Assist Finance and internal teams in determining budgets and managing blanket POs.
• Monitor supplier performance using scorecards and tools; drive improvements across categories like janitorial, food service, pest control, landscaping, etc.
• Ensure 3P suppliers comply with site-level contracts and service terms, including SLA response times.
• Track and measure savings, develop action plans to meet goals and reduce waste; standardize best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to develop innovative procurement solutions that support Operations.
• Implement methods to track supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with AP, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve vendor payment issues promptly.
• Support Procure-to-Pay and local sourcing activities; assist GPCS and GPO pillars.
• Work in a warehouse environment with frequent walking and varying temperatures; travel to sites as needed.
