Position Summary

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our expanding team in the Portland area. The Machine Operator ensures that machines operate at full capacity while producing quality products. Responsibilities include maintaining machines, performing periodic checks, visually inspecting production runs, documenting results, reporting malfunctions, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the work area.

Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays, starting at 5:45 am, with 8-10 hour shifts.

Starting pay: $20/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely during setup, troubleshooting, and breakdown.
• Set up, start-up, and breakdown at shift start and end promptly.
• Troubleshoot to minimize downtime effectively.
• Adjust machines to maximize efficiency and communicate improvements.
• Identify mechanical issues proactively and report them.
• Operate other equipment as needed.
• Follow GMPs consistently during production.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months recent experience as a Machine Operator
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Basic math skills, including percentages
• Ability to work in cold or warm environments
• Comfort with physical tasks, movement, and heavy lifting
• High attention to detail
• Availability for weekends and overtime
