Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Director of Strategy for Fuels & Natural Resources in Overland Park, KS. This leader will shape long-term direction, work closely with senior executives, and drive high-impact initiatives across water, fuels, and natural resources markets.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, investment prioritization, and cross-functional execution, reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer. Flexible, hybrid work options may apply after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of professional experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR) where required.

Responsibilities

• Drive sector strategic planning and investment priorities across municipal water, industrial water, fuels and natural resources.
• Lead capital allocation and growth investments with finance and operations teams.
• Evaluate market and competitive dynamics across FNR sectors, technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Translate strategy into executable plans and manage cross-functional execution.
• Evaluate acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships to accelerate growth.
• Lead quantitative analyses, scenario modeling, TAM, and pricing assessments.
• Engage C-Suite stakeholders to align strategic vision and roadmaps.
• Develop and mentor a team of analysts and strategists.
• Identify attractive growth geographies and client segments for BV capabilities.
