Job summary

HDR is seeking a Fuels Inspector to join our Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) team in Guam. You will inspect electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil work, read and interpret drawings and specifications, and document observations as projects progress.

You will mentor junior field staff, collaborate with project managers, and serve as the senior inspector on projects when needed. The role supports HDR’s employee-owned culture and safety standards, requiring a high school diploma

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma)
  • A minimum of 5 years experience
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities
  • Conduct inspection of electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil
  • Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed
  • Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
  • Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses
  • Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR’s Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.

In the role of Fuels Inspector, we'll count on you to:
