Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Fueler to support service operations and gasoline disbursement for vehicles at a Cox location in the USA. The role involves recording fuel use, operating a service truck, and assisting during sale days and routine audits.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent with prior related experience, valid driver’s license, and strong customer service skills. This is an on-site position with set daytime hours and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years of related work experience.
• OR any degree or certification above a High School Diploma/GED plus 1 year of related work experience.
• OR 5 years of related work experience.
• Safe drivers needed; Valid driver's license required.
• Effective customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and accurately record gasoline disbursed in vehicles.
• Enter fuel usage in AS400 via TC75.
• Start vehicles, check fuel gauges, mark vehicles needing fuel, and refuel.
• Operate a service truck and answer radio calls.
• Report and record Auction gasoline levels; alert for shortages.
• Report inoperable vehicles to Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
• Jump start vehicles and inflate tires when needed.
• Report damage or malfunctioning equipment (pumps, fuel trucks).
• Assist customers in locating vehicles.
• Assist in sale day duties (drive, lane leader, jump start, tires).
• Assist in audits of gasoline disbursement when necessary.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
