Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Fueler to manage gasoline distribution for auction vehicles. The role involves recording usage, operating an AS400-based system, and supporting sale day activities with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent with relevant experience and a valid driver’s license. It is an on-site role with day shifts and potential incentive programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• OR 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and accurately record gasoline disbursed in vehicles.
• Enter fuel usage in AS400 via portable terminal (PT).
• Start vehicles, check fuel gauges, mark vehicles that need fuel, and return to fuel them.
• Report and record Auction gasoline levels and alert proper person to avoid running out of gasoline in main fill area.
• Report inoperable vehicles to Supervisor.
• Report damage or malfunctioning equipment on vehicles (i.e., pumps, fuel trucks).
• Assist customers in locating vehicles.
• Assist in sale day duties as needed (i.e. drive, act as lane leader, jump start vehicles, etc.).
• Assist in audits of gasoline disbursement when necessary.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
