Job summary

WWC in Apache Junction, AZ is seeking a Fuel Technician to support fueling, maintenance, and safety compliance across field and shop environments.

You will perform fueling and preventive maintenance, maintain logs, and help manage fuel costs, while communicating with the Equipment Superintendent and operations staff. The role requires CDL, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
• CDL required.
• Hazmat endorsement required.
• Tanker endorsement required.
• Willing to travel out of state as needed.
• Knowledge of machines and tools and maintenance.
• Ability to learn quickly from management.
• Field and shop work with little supervision.
• Work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform fueling and preventive maintenance as directed by Equipment Superintendent.
• Help control fuel and maintenance costs.
• Top off fuel and oil levels.
• Maintain communication with supervisor and operations.
• Maintain detailed fuel/oil logs.
• Keep equipment clean and well maintained.
• Work safely at all times.
• Follow all safety policies.
• Comply with company policies.
• Inform personnel of service dates, findings, and recommended actions.

Overview

LOCATION: Apache Junction, Arizona

DUTIES

• -Performs fueling and preventative maintenance duties as required by Equipment Superintendent


• -Helps control fuel and preventative maintenance costs


• -Ensure fuel and oils are topped off


• -Maintains good communication with Equipment Superintendent and operations staff.


• -Keeps detailed fuel/oil usage logs


• -Maintains company equipment - keeps in good clean orderly condition


• -Work safely at all times


• -Adhere to all applicable safety policies


• -Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards


• -Keeps pertinent in-house personnel informed about date of service, discrepancies found, general machine condition and suggested action required

REQUIREMENTS

• (2-3) previous experience in similar position


• -CDL required


• -Hazmat Endorsement


• -Tanker Endorsement


• -Must be willing to travel out of state as needed


• -Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance


• -Takes instruction well from management - including the ability to demonstrates attention to detail, and active listening skills with the ability to learn quickly


• -Must be able to work in a field and shop environment with little to no supervision.


• -Must be able to work in all degrees of weather


• -Must put SAFETY first by adhering to all safety rules
