Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Fuel/Wash Teammate to perform entry-level duties in the Transportation Department. The role involves fueling tractors, washing trailers, and ensuring safe, clean operations on McLane property.

You’ll work with Yard Driver and shop staff to keep equipment in good condition, note maintenance needs, and contribute to a reliable, nationwide logistics network.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to drive a semi tractor on McLane property and understand air brake operations.
• Ability to read, write and understand English to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Fuel tractors and trailer refrigeration unit tanks.
• Wash tractor trailers and related facilities.
• Coordinate with Yard Driver and shop to ensure cleanliness, fueling and mechanical soundness.
• Note maintenance issues and forward to the shop Mechanics.
• Maintain fuel islands in a clean and safe condition with proper warning signage.
• Work safely to prevent injuries and damage to property and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
