Job summary

GLP Transit is seeking a professional CDL driver to efficiently deliver petroleum products to company sites and customers. The role requires safe operation of trucks, routine inspections, and strict adherence to all regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, maintaining vehicle condition, accurate paperwork, and daily coordination with dispatch. Valid Class A/B CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements and TWIC are required, along with passing DOT drug screening and medical

Description

This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle. Drivers are responsible for delivering petroleum products to company owned sites and customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
• Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.
• Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items on a daily basis.
• Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Class A or Class B CDL with clean MVR.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements REQUIRED.
• TWIC card REQUIRED
• Prior fuel truck driver experience PREFERRED.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment DOT-regulated drug screen.
• Must meet and maintain DOT and FMCSA physical and medical requirements.
• Subject to quarterly random drug screens per FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Excellent customer service demeanor.
• Must be available to work weekends, if necessary.
