Job summary

GLP Transit in Ohio is seeking a professional commercial driver responsible for delivering petroleum products to company sites and customers. You will load/unload, operate trucks safely, maintain equipment, and complete paperwork.

This role requires a valid CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, TWIC or ability to obtain, and compliance with DOT/FMCSA guidelines. Weekend work and extended hours may be required; a commitment to safety and accurate record-keeping is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with an acceptable DOT/FMCSA driving record.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• TWIC required or able to obtain within 30 days after hire.
• DOT pre-employment drug testing and random drug/alcohol testing.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA qualification standards including Medical Certificate.
• Availability to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
• Prior fuel, petroleum, or hazmat transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Description

This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle. Drivers are responsible for delivering petroleum products to company owned sites and customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
• Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.
• Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items on a daily basis.
• Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers on a daily basis.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay rate based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Requirements
