Job summary

Great Lakes Petroleum Co. is seeking a CDL driver to deliver petroleum products to company sites and customers. You will load/unload, perform safety inspections, and maintain vehicle readiness while adhering to DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with dispatch, handling paperwork, and ensuring timely deliveries. Weekend and extended hours may be required, with pay based on experience and location.

Description

This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle. Drivers are responsible for delivering petroleum products to company owned sites and customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
• Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.
• Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items on a daily basis.
• Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers on a daily basis.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay rate based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and an acceptable driving record that meets company and DOT/FMCSA requirements.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements REQUIRED.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) REQUIRED or ability to obtain one within 30 days after hire.
• Prior fuel, petroleum, or hazardous material transportation experience preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete DOT required pre-employment drug testing.
• Subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Must meet and maintain DOT and FMCSA qualification standards, including a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Availability to work weekends and extended hours as business needs require.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service.
