Job summary

GLP Transit in Austell, GA is seeking a CDL professional to deliver petroleum products to company sites and customers. You will load and unload, operate trucks safely, keep vehicles clean, perform safety checks, and complete paperwork.

Candidates must have a valid CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, TWIC, and pass a DOT drug screen; a clean MVR is required. Weekend availability and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Class A or Class B CDL with clean MVR.
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements REQUIRED.
  • TWIC card REQUIRED.
  • Prior fuel truck driver experience PREFERRED.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment DOT-regulated drug screen.
  • Must meet and maintain DOT and FMCSA physical and medical requirements.
  • Subject to quarterly random drug screens per FMCSA/DOT regulations.
  • Excellent customer service demeanor.
  • Must be available to work weekends, if necessary.

Description

This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle. Drivers are responsible for delivering petroleum products to company owned sites and customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
  • Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
  • Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.
  • Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items on a daily basis.
  • Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
  • Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers on a daily basis.
