Job Description:

Basic Function
A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP, etc., in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.

Essential Functions

• Drive tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers; position truck for loading at filling rack.
• Perform pre- and post-trip visual inspections of the vehicle for roadworthiness.
• Open valves or operate pumps to fill tanks.
• Read gauges or meters and record quantities loaded.
• Record amounts delivered and issue tickets to customers.
• Perform daily maintenance of the bulk plant and light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.).
• Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers and duty reports.
• Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous materials, and emergency response.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid commercial driver's license with hazardous material and tanker endorsements.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb up to 15 ft.
