Job summary

Grayson Carter & Son Contracting, Inc. is seeking a reliable Fuel Truck Helper to assist with loading, unloading, and dispensing fuel at various sites. You will help ensure accurate delivery, perform basic checks, and maintain safety standards.

This role supports the Fuel Truck Driver, requiring physical stamina, adherence to DOT and OSHA rules, and a commitment to teamwork. Weekend/overtime availability and PPE usage are essential for daily site operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Dependable transportation to job sites.
• Wear PPE on all job sites as required.
• Arsenal and FBI badges preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Fuel Truck Driver in loading, unloading, and dispensing fuel at designated locations.
• Ensure accurate measurement and delivery of fuel according to requirements.
• Assist in verifying the type and quantity of fuel before dispensing.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling and storage of fuel.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the fuel truck to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Work closely with the Fuel Truck Driver to ensure efficient and coordinated fuel delivery operations.
• Maintain a high level of quality work at all times.
• Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times.
• Aid coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• Knowledge of DOT Rules and Regulations

• Knowledge of OSHA Standards
• Ability to obtain Arsenal Badge and FBI Badge preferred, but not required
• Dependable transportation
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
• Work weekends and overtime as needed
• Committed to attending work each day
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
