Grayson Carter and Son Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Fuel Truck Assistant to support the Fuel Truck Driver in Athens, AL. You will assist with loading, unloading, and dispensing fuel, and help ensure proper measurement, delivery, and safety compliance on every shift.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, adherence to safety protocols, and coordination with technicians and site staff to maintain order and efficiency. This on-site position may involve overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT Rules and Regulations.
• Ability to communicate and convey information effectively.
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds.
• Knowledge of OSHA Standards.
• Ability to obtain Arsenal Badge and FBI Badge preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Fuel Truck Driver in loading, unloading, and dispensing fuel at designated locations.
• Ensure accurate measurement and delivery of fuel according to requirements.
• Assist in verifying the type and quantity of fuel before dispensing.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling and storage of fuel.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the fuel truck to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Work closely with the Fuel Truck Driver to ensure efficient and coordinated fuel delivery operations.
• Maintain a high level of quality work at all times.
• Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times.
• Aid Coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner
