Job summary

TAIT in Rancho Cordova, CA, is seeking a Fuel Systems Technician to perform electrical, construction, maintenance, testing, and repair work on commercial fuel systems in a field-based role. This position offers a pathway into a Construction Foreman role and involves wiring and conduit installation, equipment diagnostics, compliance testing, and service calls.

You will install conduit and wiring for fuel components, test UST/AST systems, perform containment/testing tasks, and support project work

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of related commercial electrical construction, installation, and supervision experience.
• Electrical license/certification preferred; Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and commercial power distribution, lighting, and low‑voltage systems.
• ICC UST and Veeder Root certifications preferred.
• HAZWOPER 24- or 40-hour certificate or current 8-hour refresher.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate conduit and wiring for fuel system components and emergency generator equipment.
• Test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UST/AST systems and related electrical/electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Perform monitoring, secondary containment, spill bucket, and vapor recovery testing.
• Support construction/repair projects and respond to maintenance and service calls.
• Complete daily logs and progress reports; meet project deadlines.
