Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Design Release Engineer to lead the design and release of fuel system components, oversee DFMEA/PFMEA and DVP&R, and collaborate across internal teams and suppliers. You will be on-site to support builds, conduct critical design reviews, and ensure launch quality.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 2–5+ years of automotive design experience, with preference for fuel systems exposure and NX/TeamCenter proficiency.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5+ years overall experience.
• 1+ year in automotive design/development for Fuel Systems or UREA; internship with Fuel Systems considered.
• Self-starter with leadership, communication, and organizational skills; strong problem solving.
• Experience with Formula SAE, Baja, or similar is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all program milestone requirements on time and with quality.
• Manage design changes to components and resolve functional, durability, and assembly issues.
• Utilize DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R; ensure adherence to specifications and best practices.
• Lead technical design reviews at key milestones and management reviews.
• Review validation setup and test results; report findings to management.
• Collaborate with safety, packaging, program, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust design.
• Be on site at production plant and engineering office to support builds and issue resolution.
• Ensure quality post-launch by supporting warranty reviews.
