Job summary

US Tech Solutions in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Design Release Engineer for a 12‑month assignment to lead design, APQP, and production release of fuel system components including fuel tanks and fuel delivery modules. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams across vehicle programs, testing labs, CAE, and manufacturing to drive quality improvements and weight reduction.

Must have 2‑5 years engineering experience, a ABET‑accredited Mechanical Engineering degree, and experience

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience (2-3+ years preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related ABET-accredited program.
• Design Release/Product/Component Engineer experience (not CAD-focused roles).
• Experience with fuel systems (tanks, fuel delivery modules, FDMs, DEF).
• Understanding of APQP processes and product validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, APQP, and production release of fuel system components.
• Identify quality improvements, value optimization, and weight reductions.
• Communicate technical status to management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams across programs and labs.
