Position Description

This Apprentice position requires a background check, MVR, and physical/drug screening. It trains individuals to become Petroleum Service Technicians, who play a vital role in environmental compliance by testing, maintaining, and repairing refueling equipment for the petroleum industry, and other facilities like marinas and airports. Technicians ensure adherence to regulatory directives, work closely with clients, perform maintenance and troubleshooting, and document all findings.

Travel Requirements

This role involves frequent travel, with initial training in Richardson, TX, including overnight stays (25-50%). Post-training, travel increases to 50-75%, with potential for up to three weeks out of town, fully covered by the company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete required training and certifications, including 40-hour HAZWOPER.
• Train in the field with experienced technicians.
• Perform inspections, testing, and repairs on UST & AST systems.
• Use handheld tools and complete paperwork accurately and timely.
• Input data into online systems, complete daily work logs, and drive company trucks.
• Follow safety protocols and work independently.

Minimum Work Experience

• Valid driver’s license with ability to drive extensively.
• Experience with handheld tools.
• Organizational skills and familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office.

Education and Skills

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret reports and work professionally with clients and team members.

Physical/Additional Requirements

• Background check, MVR, and physical/drug screening.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift parts, walk, drive, and work on various terrains.
• Clear communication skills.
