Position Description

This role requires a background check, MVR, and physical/drug screening. The Apprentice will train to become a Petroleum Service Technician, critical for environmental compliance. Responsibilities include testing, maintaining, and repairing refueling equipment for the petroleum industry, commercial and municipal facilities, marinas, and airports. The Technician ensures compliance with regulatory directives, works closely with clients, performs maintenance and troubleshooting independently, and documents all activities. We support work-life balance with options to dispatch from home.

Travel Requirements

This role involves frequent travel, with initial training in Richardson, TX, including overnight stays. Post-training, expect 50-75% travel, with periods of up to three weeks out of town. All expenses are covered, including lodging, transportation, and per diem.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Complete training classes to obtain necessary certifications, including a 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate.
  • Train in the field with experienced technicians, performing inspections and testing per regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair UST & AST systems.
  • Use handheld tools and complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Enter inspection data into online systems.
  • Maintain daily work logs and drive company vehicles to job sites.
  • Follow safety protocols and work independently when needed.
Minimum Work Experience
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to drive extensively.
  • Experience with handheld tools.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, email, and Microsoft Office.
Education and Skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret reports and documents.
  • Professional interaction with team and clients.
Physical/Additional Requirements
  • Background check, MVR, and physical/drug screening.
  • Ability to climb ladders, lift parts, and perform physical tasks.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to drive long distances and work at various job sites.
