Job summary

TAIT is offering DoD SkillBridge apprenticeship opportunities in Houston, Texas for transitioning service members. The role trains individuals to become Service Technicians who service refueling equipment for the petroleum industry, meeting state and local regulatory requirements.

A background check, MVR, and drug screening are required, with field training and independent work after onboarding. Selected apprentices will gain hands-on experience, complete essential certifications, and work

Qualifications

• Valid & current Driver's License; ability to drive extensively.
• Experience working with general handheld tools (pipe wrenches, pipe threader, voltmeter).
• Strong organization and scheduling skills.
• Experience using laptop/computer and Microsoft programs.

Responsibilities

• Complete required training classes to obtain position certifications.
• Obtain 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate after initial 4-week training.
• Train in the field with experienced Service Technicians and Operators.
• Perform A/B Operator Inspections and monitoring system certifications.
• Diagnose and repair UST and AST systems.
• Work with handheld tools; document all tasks.
• Enter inspection data and paperwork into online systems.
• Complete timecards and work orders daily.
• Drive company truck to client sites; comply with safety policies.
• Maintain a safe working environment and work independently.
