Job summary

Majors Management is seeking a Fuel Staff Accountant in Lawrenceville, GA to handle accounts payable processes and related accounting tasks for fuel operations. This role requires accuracy, adherence to US GAAP, and timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree preferred and 2+ years of accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail to support month-end and year-end closings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Fuel accounting experience highly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a related field required.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze and report financial information utilizing Majors policies, professional standards, and US GAAP.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable accounts including credit card transactions.
• Perform analysis and reconciliations for fuel inventory accounts.
• Process Electronic Funds Transfers from daily invoices.
• Examine inside sales data for missing transactions and answer customer submitted help tickets.
• Complete month end closing tasks as well as year-end closing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $60k-$70k

Location: Onsite, Lawrenceville, GA

The Fuel Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounting work needed to make sure accounts payable are processed in an efficient and timely manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Compile, analyze and report financial information utilizing Majors policies, professional
• standards, and US GAAP
• Monitor Accounts Receivable accounts including credit card transactions
• Preform analysis and conduct reconciliations for fuel inventory accounts
• Process Electronic Funds Transfers from daily invoices
• Examine inside sales data for missing transactions and answer customer submitted help tickets
• Complete month end closing tasks as well as year-end closing
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, LOOKUPs) and other Microsoft office programs
• Attention to detail is critical
• Must have analytical abilities
• Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations
• Strong interpersonal skills required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Fuel Accounting experience highly preferred
• 2+ or more years of experience in a related field required
