Ryder System, Inc. in Obetz, Ohio is hiring a Fueler Service Technician to fuel, inspect, and service vehicles on a second-shift schedule (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm). The role offers weekly pay, full benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for advancement within a safety-focused environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months; related experience and strong English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two (2) years or more of related work experience, preferred.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills; must be able to understand customer's verbal communication.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email; basic computer skills and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Fuel, wash and detail vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units as required; check tire pressure and oil; report issues to shop.
• Record fuel activity and maintain inventories and reconciliation.
• Move heavy duty vehicles.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies; some facility maintenance tasks.
