Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Greensboro is seeking a driver to operate a refueling tanker and fuel-management system, locate trailers for fueling, and maintain logs. The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds and readiness for nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will support bulk refueling and fuel audits while keeping equipment clean and compliant with regulations. Candidates must be a current Greensboro Distribution associate with a strong team mindset and commitment to Publix’s mission.

Qualifications

• At least 20 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended periods.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and perform math problems.
• Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
• Ability to work well with others and be a team member.

Responsibilities

• Operate a refueling tanker using specialized computer fuel management equipment to locate trailers and fuel.
• Check refrigerated trailer fluid levels and add fluids as needed.
• Maintain fuel logs and refill the fuel tanker with safety equipment.
• Assist in bulk refueling process and conduct fuel audits.
• Clean and detail equipment as required.

• performing a number of functions on a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment; as well as industrial equipment; according to company policy; federal, state, and local regulations; and their own knowledge of the equipment, driving a refueling tanker using specialized computer fuel management equipment to locate trailers for fueling, checking refrigerated trailer fluid levels, adding fluids as needed, keeping fuel logs, refilling the fuel tanker using specialized safety equipment, assist in bulk refueling process, conduct fuel audits, and clean and detail equipment
