Job summary

Pilot Company is hiring a Logistics Coordinator to manage fuel order purchases and deliveries across multiple locations, aiming to prevent outages and optimize inventory at the lowest cost. You will join a collaborative logistics team that offers strong training and growth within a world-class supply chain function.

Schedule is 3/4 - 7PM-7AM (3 days one week, 4 days the next), with the benefit of 3 or 4 days off in a row.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or engineering; or minimum three years’ experience in transportation dispatch or optimization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute delivery of hundreds of fuel loads per day.
• Analyze driver staffing, carrier loads, inventories, trucking costs, and fuel pricing to determine lowest cost action plan.
• Answer a high volume of daily calls to assist drivers and adjust delivery plans.
• Monitor store tank volumes and project sales demand to avoid outages.
• Maintain tank levels at par value to optimize cash flow and margins.
• Monitor spot market prices and plan dispatches to capitalize on arbitrage opportunities.
• Review driver DOT hours and plan routes safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fuel orders align with KPIs.
