Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America seeks a skilled operator to safely manage pumps and bulk transfers at our Sumter, SC site. You will monitor levels, flow, and quality, perform basic maintenance, and keep precise inventory records.

The role requires strict safety discipline, the ability to follow procedures, and strong teamwork. On-site work with PPE and adherence to EH&S standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong focus on safety, attention to detail and operational awareness.
• Ability to follow procedures and respond to changing conditions.
• Clear communication and teamwork across departments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic production environment.
• Must don PPE per EH&S qualifications.
• Ability to climb heights of 10 ft or higher with fall protection.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate pumps to transfer, load, and unload bulk materials and liquids.
• Monitor tank levels, flow rates, and material quality to ensure efficiency.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pumps and pipelines.
• Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with production and logistics teams to support operations.
