Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Austin, TX is seeking a Fuel Farm Operator to support sampling, testing and basic maintenance of fueling facilities and vehicles. You will work with jet fuel, gasoline, diesel, avgas and glycol while following uniform guidelines and strict safety rules.

You will perform quality checks, inspections and log fuel transactions, supporting maintenance to keep storage tanks and pipelines in good working order, with a flexible schedule and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain airports/badges/seals.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing and a physical; ability to obtain/maintain airport badges/seals.

Responsibilities

• Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
• Samples and tests products for quality control and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.
• Supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems including related equipment on fueling vehicles.
• Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards.
• Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to prevent spills, releases, contamination.
• Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance.
• Must have a flexible schedule.

Role Purpose

As a member of the Menzies Aviation Fuel Farm Operating Team, you will be responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.

This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.

What you will be doing

• - Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.

What we are looking for:

• - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• - Valid Driver's License. Possess/maintain a valid drivers license and other FFA Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.
• - Must be at least 18 years of age
• - Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds
• - Must pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical
• - Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals.
