Job summary

Jet Aviation Teterboro seeks a Fuel Farm Lead to support the Fuel Farm Supervisor in safe, compliant operation of aviation-fuel storage and distribution systems. This hands-on senior role coordinates shift priorities, reviews records, and escalates safety or fuel-quality concerns.

The successful candidate will have at least two years in aviation fueling or related work, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; aviation fueling or related training preferred.
• Two years of related aviation fueling or industrial operations experience preferred.
• Experience with fuel receipt, sampling, testing, storage, transfer, inventory, and inspections.
• Lead, trainer, or senior technician experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of fuel systems and safety equipment.
• Ability to follow procedures, checklists and safety standards; maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift activities and provide clear direction to Fuel Farm Technicians.
• Participate in fuel receipt, sampling, testing, storage, transfers, and inventory control.
• Verify inspections for opening, shifting, closing, safety, and quality control.
• Monitor tank levels, deliveries, transfers, and investigate discrepancies.
• Inspect tanks, pumps, valves, meters and safety equipment; escalate unsafe conditions.
• Maintain accurate records and support maintenance, spill response, and vendor coordination.
• Provide hands-on training and coaching; ensure a clean, safe work environment.
