Please click on the link above to complete the driver application process. Walthall Oil Company is looking for a full-time Fuel Tank Wagon Delivery Driver. Tank wagon and transport fuel delivery drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of hazardous materials, both flammable and non-flammable. We strive to provide excellent service to our customers, so our drivers must always maintain a courteous and professional manner when interacting with customers.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

1. Pre and post-trip inspections.
2. Loading truck compartments at loading racks and terminals.
3. Safely delivering fuel to various locations, including above and below ground tanks, commercial generators, construction equipment, refrigeration units, trains, and other engines.
4. Following FMCSA, State, and DOT safety regulations.
5. Maintaining excellent written and verbal communication with dispatch.
6. Performing basic math calculations and using a calculator.
7. Driving manual transmission vehicles.
8. Bending, kneeling, stooping, pulling, and pushing hoses and containers (up to 30 pounds).
9. Lifting 50 pounds or more without assistance.
10. Climbing on top of trucks to fill fuel/lube vehicles.
11. Rolling 450-pound drums.
12. Problem-solving and troubleshooting during deliveries and stressful situations.
13. Being on-call for emergency deliveries, including major holidays.

Requirements

1. Class A or B CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsement (hazmat not required).
2. Ability to drive a manual transmission truck.
3. Successful completion of pre-employment and periodic random drug tests.
4. Successful completion of background checks.
5. Pre-employment DOT physical and DOT card.
6. Clean driving and accident record.
