Job summary

Tiger Fuel Company is seeking a safety‑mocused Fuel Delivery Driver for our Appomattox Plant. You will safely load and drive a bobtail delivery vehicle to residential and commercial customers, providing excellent service and supporting the Service Team as needed.

The role is full-time, year-round with benefits, and requires CDL B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and reliability in every delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Ability to load, transport and unload propane safely and efficiently.
• Experience driving in varying weather and tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane and other fuels to customer locations.
• Inspects vehicle and reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Plans routes with Dispatcher to meet delivery schedules.
• Provides exceptional customer service and answers questions from customers.
• Completes required on-call rotations for after-hours and weekend deliveries.
• Cross-trains with Service Team to provide support as needed.

We're looking for an outstanding Fuel Delivery Drive to join our Team at our Appomattox Plant. This position requires an individual to safely load, then drive a bobtail delivery vehicle to residential and commercial customer locations. We're seeking someone who has a real passion for customer service and thrives in a fast-paced environment as a safety-focused Propane Delivery Driver. This role will also cross train with and support our Service Team as needed.

Requirements

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane & other fuel to and from specified destinations.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance.
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operates delivery truck in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher to plan and follow routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering questions.
• Completes required on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries and responses.
• Ensure struck and associated equipment are clean and in good working order.
• Outside of heating season, assists the Plant and Service division with tank maintenance and other tasks as required.
• Cross train with Service Team to provide support as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a CDL B License with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
• Experience maneuvering in tight quarters and driving in snow, ice and other weather conditions
• Physically capable of heavy lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, carrying hoses/nozzles weighing up to 50 lbs
• Good driving record with no major convictions
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in written correspondence with Dispatcher and customers
• Able to read and understand road signs, instructions, routes and other paperwork
• Displays a positive, “can-do” attitude and interacts well with others on a team
• Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen test
