Main-Care Energy in New York is seeking fuel delivery drivers for full- and part-time roles. A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and a clean driving record are required. Join a long-standing employee-owned company delivering to residential and commercial customers.

You will load, transport, and deliver fuel on a fixed route, maintain safety, complete logs, and assist customers with questions. Benefits include ESOP, medical, retirement plans, paid holidays, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Clean driving record.
• At least one year of driving experience in fuel or propane delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and deliver fuel to customers based on a pre-determined route and schedule.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being courteous and addressing questions.
• Strictly adhere to safety procedures, including PPE use and hazardous material regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle and report issues to maintenance.
• Accurately complete delivery tickets and logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform routine tank inspections at customer sites and report safety hazards.
• Be prepared to respond to emergencies and communicate with the dispatcher as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Fuel Delivery

Safely load, transport, and deliver fuel to customers based on a pre-determined route and schedule.

Customer Interaction

Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being courteous, answering questions, and addressing concerns related to usage.

Safety Compliance

Strictly adhere to all safety procedures, including those related to hazardous material transportation, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.

Equipment Maintenance

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any issues to the maintenance team.

Record Keeping

Accurately complete delivery tickets, logbooks, and required reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Tank Inspections

Perform routine visual inspections of customer tanks to ensure proper installation and operations, reporting any potential safety hazards.

Emergency Response

Be prepared to respond to potential emergencies, and ensure timely communication with the dispatcher in such events.
