Job summary

Main-Care Energy in New York is seeking Fuel Delivery Drivers (full- and part-time) to safely transport and deliver fuel to residential and commercial customers. A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, plus a clean driving record, is required.

Qualifications

• CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Valid CDL with clean driving record.
• At least 1 year of driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport and deliver fuel to residential and commercial customers on a pre-determined route and schedule.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being courteous and addressing customer questions.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including PPE use and hazardous material handling guidelines.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues to maintenance.
• Accurately complete delivery tickets and required DOT compliance reports.
• Inspect customer tanks and report any safety hazards or installation issues.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate with the dispatcher as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Fuel Delivery:

Safely load, transport, and deliver fuel to customers based on a pre-determined route and schedule.

Customer Interaction:

Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being courteous, answering questions, and addressing concerns related to usage.

Safety Compliance:

Strictly adhere to all safety procedures, including those related to hazardous material transportation, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.

Equipment Maintenance:

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any issues to the maintenance team.

Record Keeping:

Accurately complete delivery tickets, logbooks, and required reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Tank Inspections:

Perform routine visual inspections of customer tanks to ensure proper installation and operations, reporting any potential safety hazards.

Emergency Response:

Be prepared to respond to potential emergencies, and ensure timely communication with the dispatcher in such events.

Qualifications:

Licensing:

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Along with a clean driving record.

Experience:

At least one year of driving experience in fuel or propane delivery is preferred, but not required. Training may be provided.
