Job summary

Fleet Farm in Rochester, MN is seeking a friendly Convenience Store Team Member who delivers fast, courteous service at the pump and in-store, processes transactions, and helps keep the store clean and safe. You will handle cash and card payments, restock merchandise, maintain fuel pumps, follow all regulatory and safety procedures for tobacco, lottery, alcohol, and food areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures including simple math.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work in a variety of temperatures (cooler, freezer, outdoors).

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a quick and efficient check-out experience and accurate handling of transactions.
• Process and handle monetary transactions including cash, checks, gift cards, credit/debit cards, etc.
• Follow all city, county, and state regulations regarding tobacco, lottery, and alcohol.
• Follow all safe food handling requirements.
• Gas Mart operations including maintenance of fuel pumps and related documentation.
• Understand and follow emergency response protocols for spills and hazardous materials.
• Ensure sidewalks are clean and free of hazards.
• Answer customer questions about location, price, and merchandise based on product specs.
• Maintain stock levels and restock merchandise as needed.
• Open and close the store and ensure overall security.
• Complete all C-Store cleaning tasks including floors, restrooms, and food prep area sanitation.
• Set up displays according to Company directives.
• Promote Fleet Farm loyalty program and other company initiatives.
