Job summary

Cruitin is seeking a Fuel Storage Tank Technician to service refueling equipment across commercial facilities, marinas, and airports in the Houston area. This role requires extensive travel and hands-on maintenance, with inspections and regulatory compliance performed to state requirements.

You will conduct DVIR inspections, monitor UST/AST systems, troubleshoot issues in the field, and document daily work orders while maintaining safety and timely service for clients on site and on the road.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to perform DVIR inspections and monitor UST/AST systems.
• Experience in field maintenance of fuel systems and related equipment.
• Knowledge of state regulations for storage and monitoring systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% (up to 1000 miles a week).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of refueling equipment at client sites.
• Submit daily work orders and project paperwork.
• Travel to field sites and stay as required.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory directives and safety policies.
• Act as Job Site Safety Officer when on site.
• Report non-conformities and coordinate with clients.

Requirements

• Ability to drive up to 1000 miles a week and conduct daily DVIR inspections
• Ability to adjust to field conditions and requirements
• Perform required monitoring certification, secondary containment, spill bucket testing, and vapor recovery resting and repairs per state requirements
• Submittal of daily work order and project associates paperwork
• Occasional out of town stay is required
• Experience with UST/AST monitoring and fuel system maintenance equipment is required.

About

Service Technicians maintain and repair all refueling equipment for the petroleum industry, as well as commercial and municipal refueling facilities, marinas, and airports. The Technician will ensure that state and local regulatory directives regarding storage and monitoring systems are met. He or she will work closely with client personnel as a company representative, perform maintenance, and troubleshooting without direct supervision. The Service Technician will serve as the eyes and ears of our clients identifying and documenting all compliant and any observed non-compliant issues. This position will provide services in an efficient and timely manner and conduct business in a safe, ethical, and professional manner. Additionally, this position will act as Job Site Safety Officer and implement internal company safety policies at the job site. Must be able to follow instructions and complete assigned jobs timely and safely.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Experience with UST/AST monitoring and fuel system maintenance equipment is required.
• Current or prior ICC UST Service Technician certification.
• 24 or 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate or current 8-hour refresher courses.
• Troubleshoot & work through problems independently.
• Understand and conform to complex regulatory requirements.
• Read and interpret machine diagnostic reports.
