Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring a Fuel Cashier to join our store team. You’ll provide excellent customer service, handle payments, and process fuel and merchandise transactions at the POS.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task across different services, follow safety guidelines, and build rapport with customers and teammates. The role offers flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.
• Cash handling skills preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process diesel fuel transactions on a POS register, handling payments in cash, checks, and credit cards.
• Multi-task customer transactions involving merchandise, truck scales, shower reservations, and check-cashing process.
• Prioritize work according to customer and management needs.
• Know and follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations.
• Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
