Job summary

Ladders is helping a manufacturing and automotive leader fill a FTZ Program Manager role. The remote US-based position focuses on compliance, operational efficiency, and governance of the FTZ program, partnering with stakeholders, regulators, and auditors to strengthen controls and ensure audit readiness.

The ideal candidate will have deep FTZ knowledge, CBP experience, and a track record of reducing risk across FTZ operations, inventory recordkeeping, and regulatory interactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of FTZ program or U.S. trade compliance experience preferred.
  • Experience with U.S. Customs and FTZ Boards.
  • Background in managing third-party service providers.
  • Knowledge of FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping systems.
  • Familiarity with import/export regulations and international transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead FTZ continuous improvement initiatives focused on compliance and efficiency.
  • Implement project improvements based on regulations and audit findings.
  • Standardize processes for FTZ procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Measure performance metrics and recommend improvements to leadership.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with FTZ regulations and proactively identify risks.
  • Prepare for and lead internal and external FTZ audits and Customs reviews.
  • Act as a liaison for regulators and auditors, overseeing corrective actions.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a FTZ Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will oversee the Foreign Trade Zone program with a focus on compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across processes and governance. The position partners closely with internal stakeholders, third-party service providers, regulators, and auditors to strengthen controls and support effective trade operations. The right candidate will bring deep expertise in FTZ requirements, customs interactions, and inventory recordkeeping to help the organization reduce risk and maintain audit readiness.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
